WHAT YOU GIVE, THEY GET!

The fragile calm in Gaza has shattered. A sudden escalation in conflict has destroyed any hope of rebuilding. Our brothers and sisters in Gaza remain displaced โ€“ their homes in rubble. Living in fear, families are without food, water, medicine or shelter. Hopes for peace have been brokenโ€”yet the need for action has never been greater. MATW Project is still delivering life-saving relief. Despite the incursion, our teams are working tirelessly to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Weโ€™re on the ground delivering emergency shelter, food, water, medical supplies and more. Your donation in these last ten nights of Ramadan is critical. $250 can help deliver essentials to medical caregivers to help treat injured patients in Gaza. Time is running out. Lives depend on this. Donโ€™t wait โ€” give like itโ€™s your last Ramadan.

Dua for anxiety

Dua for Anxiety: Finding Peace and Relief through Prayer

In the modern world, anxiety has become a common issue that affects millions of people on a daily basis. It is a state of unease, worry, and fear that can have a negative impact on our mental and physical well-being. As Muslims, we are blessed with the solution to all of our problems, including anxiety, through the power of dua.

Dua, or supplication, is a form of worship that connects us to our Creator and allows us to seek His help and guidance in times of need. The importance of dua in Islam cannot be overstated, as it is a direct way to communicate with Allah (SWT) and seek His mercy and assistance. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Nothing can change the divine decree except dua” (Musnad Ahmad). This hadith emphasizes the power and significance of dua in our lives, as it has the ability to change our destiny and bring about positive outcomes.

Anxiety can often leave us feeling helpless and overwhelmed, but the practice of dua reminds us that we are not alone and that Allah (SWT) is always there to listen to our prayers. By turning to Him and seeking His help, we can find peace and relief from the burdens of anxiety. The Quran says, “Remember Me and I will remember you” (Quran 2:152). This verse serves as a reminder that when we turn to Allah (SWT) in dua, He will remember us and respond to our needs.

In times of anxiety, it is important to turn to the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for guidance on how to seek relief through dua. The Prophet was known to frequently supplicate to Allah (SWT) in times of difficulty and distress, and he left us with a wealth of dua that we can recite to seek relief from anxiety.

One of the most powerful dua for anxiety is found in the Quran, where Allah (SWT) says, “Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction” (Quran 13:28). This verse reminds us that true satisfaction and peace can only be found through the remembrance of Allah (SWT), and it serves as a powerful tool to combat anxiety.

The dua for anxiety is as follows:

Transliteration:
Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal
Translation:
โ€œO Allah, I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men (i. e. others).โ€

Reciting this powerful dua with sincerity and faith can bring peace and relief from anxiety, as it seeks the protection and assistance of Allah (SWT) in times of distress. Additionally, the act of giving charity with a sincere intention can also help to grant our dua and alleviate anxiety. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Charity does not decrease wealth” (Sahih Muslim). By giving charity with the intention of seeking help from Allah (SWT) and alleviating the suffering of others, we can earn His mercy and blessings, which can in turn help grant our dua and bring about relief from anxiety.

The practice of dua is a powerful tool that can help us find peace and relief from anxiety by connecting us to our Creator and seeking His assistance. The dua for anxiety serves as a reminder that true satisfaction and peace can only be found through the remembrance of Allah (SWT), and by reciting it with sincerity and faith, we can find relief from the burdens of anxiety.

May Allah (SWT) grant us all peace and relief from anxiety through the power of dua and the act of giving charity. Ameen.
