The Book of Allah SWT offers profound guidance and wisdom through its verses, addressing various aspects of human life. Among the numerous surahs that hold special significance, Surah Al-Falaq stands out for its unique focus on seeking protection from harm. 

This surah, consisting of only five verses, is a very powerful invocation for safety and security, reflecting deep spiritual and practical lessons. Understanding the virtues and significance of Surah Al-Falaq can enrich our lives and enhance our spiritual practice.

Surah Al-Falaq: The Text and Translation

Surah Al-Falaq is the 113th chapter of the Quran. Here is the Arabic text along with its English translation:

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Transliteration: Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem

Translation: In the name of Allah SWT, the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ


Transliteration: Qul a’oozu bi rabbil-falaq

Translation: Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Transliteration: Min sharri maa khalaq

Translation: From the evil of that which He created

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

Transliteration: Wa min sharri ghaasiqin izaa waqab

Translation: And from the evil of darkness when it settles

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ

Transliteration: Wa min sharrin-naffaa-saati fil ‘uqad

Translation: And from the evil of the blowers in knots

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

Transliteration: Wa min sharri haasidin izaa hasad

Translation: And from the evil of an envier when he envies.

Virtues of Surah Al-Falaq
