Gaza Emergency Zakat Saves Lives

WHAT YOU GIVE, THEY GET!

The fragile calm in Gaza has shattered. A sudden escalation in conflict has destroyed any hope of rebuilding. Our brothers and sisters in Gaza remain displaced – their homes in rubble. Living in fear, families are without food, water, medicine or shelter. Hopes for peace have been broken—yet the need for action has never been greater. MATW Project is still delivering life-saving relief. Despite the incursion, our teams are working tirelessly to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza. We’re on the ground delivering emergency shelter, food, water, medical supplies and more.

Daily Ramadan Duas

Below are a few key duas to include in your Ramadan day 1 to day 10 routine. Reciting these regularly helps nurture your connection with Allah SWT and invites His mercy, forgiveness, and guidance.

1. Dua for Seeking Mercy

Arabic: رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Transliteration: Rabbana atina fi dunya hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar.
Translation: “Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

This comprehensive dua encompasses blessings in both worldly life and the hereafter, asking Allah SWT for protection from Hellfire. It serves as a beautiful reminder of Allah’s mercy and grace.

2. Dua for Forgiveness

Arabic: أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبِّي مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَأتُوبُ إلَيْهِ
Transliteration: Astaghfirullah Rabbi min kulli dhambin wa atubu ilayh.
Translation: “I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin I committed and repent to Him.”

Seeking forgiveness is a central theme during Ramadan. Reciting this dua frequently—especially in the early days—helps you begin the month with a purified heart and a renewed commitment to righteousness.

3. Dua for Guidance

Transliteration: Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba’da idh hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmah innaka antal Wahhab.
Translation: “Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Your presence. Indeed, You are the Bestower.”

Guidance is essential at every stage of our spiritual journey. This dua asks Allah SWT to protect our hearts from straying after we’ve been guided and to bless us with His infinite mercy.

Practical Tips to Enhance Your Daily Ramadan Duas

Making the most of the first ten days of Ramadan involves more than just reciting duas. Here are some effective ways to deepen your worship and fully embrace Allah’s mercy:

  1. Set Clear Intentions and Goals
Start Ramadan with a clear intention (niyyah) to maximize worship and spiritual growth. Whether you plan to complete the Quran, attend Taraweeh prayers consistently, or increase your charitable giving, having defined goals will keep you motivated.
  2. Incorporate Extra Worship
In addition to your obligatory prayers, perform Taraweeh and other voluntary (nafl) prayers. These additional acts of worship earn extra rewards and help you stay spiritually focused during the first ten days and beyond.
  3. Recite and Reflect on the Quran
Dedicate time daily to read and ponder the Quran. Understanding Allah’s words will enrich your dua sessions and reinforce the spiritual lessons of Ramadan.
  4. Schedule Regular Daily Duas
Identify specific times for dua—such as the early morning (Suhoor) and moments before Iftar—to maximize the likelihood your prayers are accepted. Consistency helps create a deeply personal routine of supplication.
  5. Give Generously
Ramadan is known for its emphasis on charity. Whether you’re donating money, sharing food, or performing acts of kindness, your generosity can purify your soul and multiply your blessings, particularly in these initial days.
  6. Seek Forgiveness Sincerely
Use these first ten days to repent earnestly for past sins. Remember that Allah SWT’s mercy is boundless, and He is always ready to forgive those who turn to Him with a sincere heart.
