اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Transliteration:
Allahumma innaka Afuwwun [Karimun ] tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee
Translation:
“O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, [Generous,] You love pardon, so pardon me.”

This dua encapsulates the essence of seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness on Laylatul Qadr. By reciting this dua with sincerity and humility, a person can seek Allah’s forgiveness for their past sins and shortcomings, and they can hope for blessings and mercy from Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation of the people” (Muslim). Therefore, by giving charity with a sincere intention, a person can hope to gain Allah’s pleasure and have their dua answered.
